Hints and tips

  • Allow plenty of time to complete your application.
  • Read each question carefully and check you’ve provided a full answer that covers all the information you want to include.
  • Make sure you answer the questions honestly and accurately.
  • It’s really important to answer any questions that form part of the application, even if you’re attaching a CV with similar information in. This is your opportunity to link your skills and experience to the job description and role profile and tell us why you’re a great fit.
  • We encourage you to use real examples to show how you’ve developed your skills. The STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) is a helpful way to structure your answers and clearly explain the difference you made.
  • Do a final check before you submit to ensure you’re happy with your application.
  • Good luck!

Using AI in your application

We recognise the growing use of AI tools and the benefits they can bring when preparing applications. You’re welcome to use AI to help structure your answers or refine your wording.

However, your application must be an honest and accurate reflection of your own skills, experience and achievements. Please make sure everything in your application genuinely represents you and the contribution you have personally made. We may explore your examples further during the interview process.
